Foreign trade forecast improves

Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services forecast points to an increase of the surplus of Brazilian trade. The surplus is believed to reach between USD 65 to USD 70 billion.
Brasília – The Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services’ forecast for Brazilian foreign trade improved from a surplus of USD 60 billion to a surplus ranging from USD 65 billion to USD 70 billion in 2017.
According to the ministry, the results reflect especially the performance of Brazilian exports, which have risen almost 20% in the year, with sales driven by vehicles, cargo vehicles, steel products, agribusiness products and mineral commodities. In absolute numbers, exports have risen from USD 25 billion between January and September in comparison to the same period of 2016.
