IMF lends USD 2.8 billion to Tunisia

The money, set to be released in stages, will be used on the implementation of reforms in the economy.
São Paulo Tunisia will receive a USD 2.88 billion loan from the Monetary International Fund (IMF) throughout the next 48 months. The money will be used to put in practice Tunisias economic reform, which calls for an improvement of the business environment and inclusive growth, among other projects.
According to data released this Friday (20) by the Fund, Tunisia already has USD 319.5 million at its disposal. The rest of the loan will be released in parts, which will be tied to the reviewing of the program.
