Students cook for diplomats

Federation of Commerce of the State of Pernambuco welcomed Arab and African ambassadors in a dinner last Friday. Menu was done by gastronomy students of the National Service for Commercial Education (SENAC).
Recife – Students of the gastronomy course of the National Service for Commercial Education (SENAC) of Pernambuco cooked for the delegation of Arab and African ambassadors that went on an official mission to the state last week.
The dinner was organized by the Federation of Commerce of the State of Pernambuco (FECOMÉRCIO-PE), which is responsible for SENAC. Also at the dinner were representatives of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty).
The menu was varied and included unique dishes such as duck parcels, salad with cheese (known as queijo coalho), lamb, and tapioca ice cream and milk pudding and desserts. At the end of the event, the students took a picture with the diplomats.
Gave a speech at the event the president of FECOMÉRCIO-PE, Josias Silva de Albuquerque, the 1st vice-president, Frederico Leal, the dean of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Brazil and Palestine’s ambassador, Ibrahim Alzeben, the dean of the Council of African Ambassadors in Brazil and the ambassador of Cameroon, Martin Agbor Mbeng, the ambassador of Angola in Brazil, Nelson Manuel Cosme, and the CEO of the Arab Chamber, Michel Alaby.
