13 de junho de 2016

The country imported the equivalent of USD 263 million from January to April of this year, down 31% from the comparable period in 2015.

Algiers – Algeria imported USD 262.72 million worth of dairy year-to-date through April, down 30.83% from Jan-Apr 2015, the country’s National Center for Statistics and Information (CNIS) has reported. The information was released this Monday (13) by Algérie Presse Service (APS).

In the first four months of 2016, the country imported 104,500 tons of dairy, 16% less than from January to April, 2015.

Algeria relies on dairy imports to supply its domestic market, but it is encouraging national production to reduce its dependency.
