BNDES and IDB: USD 2.4 billion credit

São Paulo – The president of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), Paulo Rabello de Castro, and the vice-president for Countries of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Alexandre Meira da Rosa, signed this Friday (10) an agreement of a conditional credit line worth USD 2.4 billion with the aim to fund, in the medium and long-term, private investments in infrastructure and sustainable energy projects and productive projects of small and medium companies.

According to BNDES, also signed was the first loan contract to the Funding Program to Sustainable Energy worth USD 900 million, with USD 750 million coming from the IDB and USD 150 million from the BNDES. Historically, the IDB is the main international lender of BNDES.
