18 de agosto de 2016

São Paulo – This Wednesday (17), in Brasília, the Senate approved the name of Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta to be the next Brazilian ambassador in the Arab country, based in Kuwait City, and also to concurrently hold the ambassador post in Bahrain. Rapesta was already approved, unanimously, by the Foreign Affairs and National Defense commission earlier in the month.

Before Bahrain, he served as Brazil’s ambassador in Helsinki, Finland, and in Luanda, Angola. Rapesta also worked in Brazilian diplomatic representations in the former European Economic Community in Rome, Italy, and in Cayenne, French Guiana. In the Arab country, he will replace Antonio Carlos do Nascimento Pedro.
