BRF launches Sadia Halal division

The Brazilian food company has approved the establishment of a subsidiary that will be in charge of producing, distributing and selling foodstuffs intended for Muslim markets.
São Paulo – The Brazilian food company BRF announced last week that it will establish Sadia Halal, a subsidiary for production, distribution and sale of foods intended for Muslim countries.
It said in a statement that the move will provide “increased independence and focus to BRF business in Muslim markets.” The company added that it will now consider strategic alternatives for Sadia Halal that will enable it to expand in markets it operates in at this time, as well as ones it is yet to reach.
