Company to export cosmetics made with French oils

22 de maio de 2016

São Paulo – Manufacturer of hair cosmetics made with essential oils from the French region of Provence, the Rio Grande do Sul company NG de France is in the process of entering the Arab market. Last week, it attended Beautyworld Middle East, the main fair of the cosmetics industry in the Middle East, in Dubai and left the event with important contacts.

“We had 80 meetings with buyers from 16 countries. The most promising contacts were from the UAE, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Lebanon”, says Silvane Silveira, the company’s business director.

“We have a whole line aimed at salons, for professional use, and another for home care. We have 36 products in our line, between hair straighteners and treatments, such as hydration, reparation and recovery of the hair”, she explains.

According to her, some potential clients took samples during the fair and, now, are calling with feedback on the tests results and negotiating imports regulatory issues. For the executive, the contacts made at Beautyworld should generate good results in the short and medium-term.

She points out that the differential aspect of NG de France’s products is in the use of organic essential oils brought directly from France. “All of the products [from the brand] have essential oils. The straightener, which is our flagship product, is the only one in the world without chemical active ingredients. Its hair transformation capacity is due to the essential oils”, she says.

According to the director, the combination of French ingredients with the quality of Brazilian products was really successful at the Dubai fair. “We saw an opportunity to combine the brands Brazil and France. Buyers thought it was fantastic because of the association between the French charm and the quality of Brazilian cosmetics, and with competitive prices”, she says.

Silveira says that the company was founded in 2014 and that it’s working to begin sales abroad. Besides the Beautyworld, company’s representatives attended fairs in Turkey and in Hong Kong. According to the director, the fair in the Asian country also generated good contacts with Arab importers.

The headquarters of NG de France is located in the city of Osório, Rio Grande do Sul. The company has 18 employees and a monthly output of 15 tons of cosmetics, but with a total output capacity of 100 tons per month.

With room to expand, Silveira says that the company is expecting a significant growth this year. While revenues in 2015 was BRL 2 million (USD 561,800), the estimative for 2016 points to BRL 5 million (USD 1.404 million).
