São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce took part, alongside the Brazilian Defense and Security Material Industries Association (ABIMDE), in the Defense and Security Equipment International (DSEI), which began this Tuesday (12) and runs until Friday (15) in London, England.
In all, 22 Brazilian companies participated and the Arab Chamber was responsible for putting them in contact with the Arabs in the expo, which led to deals. Company Poly Defensor signed an agreement with the Egyptians. “I would like to emphasize here that the Arab Chamber played a key role in providing support to us,” said the company's vice president of International Sales and Business, Rogério Beltrão, on the agreement. The firm manufactures pepper spray and hostile animal deterrent.
The Arab Chamber’s Business Executive Rafael Solimeo represented the organization in the expo and led Arab delegations to ABIMDE’s stand. According to Solimeo, the Arabs were very impressed with the technology and innovation that Brazilian companies exhibited in the fair. “The Arab Chamber connects Brazil and the Arab countries anywhere in the world. This fair is an example of that,” said Solimeo. According to him, the Brazilian pavilion really stood out and the exhibition was a success.
ABIMDE’s president, Carlos Frederico Queiroz de Aguiar, underscored the importance of the fair and the partnership. “Our work was successful, results couldn’t have been better and all the companies were highly impressed with the professionalism of the Chamber and the high level of contacts that certainly will produce an effect on Brazil's GDP,” he said. The Brazilian participants had support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Brazilian Ministry of Defense.
