Baghdad – Iraq produced 103.7 million oil barrels in October, which results in an average above 3.3 million daily barrels. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Oil, Essam Jihad, said that revenues generated by the exports of the commodity in the month reached USD 5.4 billion. The information was published by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
According to the agency, all the oil exported last month was produced in Iraq’s Central and South regions, with zero contribution from the Kirkuk province, in the North. Iraq’s armed forces gained control of Kirkuk’s oil fields from the Kurdish Peshmerga, an autonomous region in the North of the country. Usually, the Kirkuk fields produce 300,000 daily barrels, according to Kuna.
