Machinery exports up 49%
29 de novembro de 2017
Foreign sales from Brazil increased year-on-year in October as revenues reached USD 897 million.
São Paulo – Machinery and equipment exports from Brazil grossed USD 897.44 million in October, up 49.5% year-on-year. Year-to-date through October, exports fetched USD 7.356 billion, up 13.1% from a year ago. The numbers were made public this Wednesday (29) by the Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association (Abimaq).
Abimaq said one of the reasons foreign sales went up was a pickup in international market activity. Year-to-date through October, exports were driven by machinery intended for agriculture, the oil industry, renewable industries, logistics, construction, and the process industry.
The bulk of machinery and equipment exports from Brazil went to Latin America, the United States, Europe and China.
